The PriFest - Prishtina International Film Festival is preparing its industry section, the PriForum, as its eighth edition approaches (22-29 April). The professional event, which will be held from 22-27 April, will include conferences, debates, workshops and a new edition of the Best Pitch Competition for the Vanessa Redgrave Award.

During five days, professional filmmakers from the region (Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia) will have the opportunity to participate in the Best Pitch Competition, gaining experience not only about pitching, but also about audience awareness and marketing strategies for different film projects in their early stages of development. Some of them will also be selected for the Script Development Workshop.

This year, PriFest has reached an agreement with Torino Film Lab and Script Circle Berlin, whose experts will host the professional events of the festival. Torino Film Lab artistic director Matthieu Darras, Script Circle Berlin consultant and tutor Franz Rodenkirchen, Script Circle Berlin consultant Françoise von Roy and communication and marketing strategist Joana Solecka will tutor the participants during the regular two-day pitching training, as well as the Film Marketing and Audience workshop – where professionals will learn more about making their films more attractive for an international audience and market – and the Script Development Workshop – a two-day-long activity for four film projects in the development phase and applying for Best Pitch. 

Lastly, this edition of PriFest will celebrate the first Prishtina Rendezvous, an activity that will bring a number of distribution and international sales companies to the city to meet new talents from the region and get to know their film projects. 

The deadline for applications for the Best Pitch Competition has been extended. Participants can submit their projects until 20 March. To apply, click here.
