The 2016 Coproduction Village will select 20 projects in development (fiction, animated or documentary features) for which the main producer and the director are European, the latter being required to have already directed at least one feature or a number of short films singled out (or awarded) at festivals. Interestingly, Arte International will give a €4,000 prize to one of the selected projects. Registration is open until 30 September.

The Work-In-Progress session will present excerpts from 15 European films in post-production, which are in search of international sales agents, distributors and festivals. Two prizes will be handed out: the Lab Project Award (€50,000, courtesy of Eurimages, for a film that stands out because of its innovative nature in terms of its content or production), and an award provided by Hiventy, which takes the form of post-production services. The deadline for the call has been set as 7 October.

Registration forms are available on the festival’s website – click here.

This year, the Les Arcs Festival’s Focus will be dedicated to Quebec, just a few weeks before Canada becomes a member of Eurimages, in January 2017.
