According to the synopsis provided by the production company, Tierra del Fuego used to be a hostile territory; in the early 20th century, it is about to play host to the marriage of the all-powerful plantation owner, the possessor of these lands that were stolen from the natives and are now steeped in violence. A photographer makes his way to this distant corner of the Earth in order to immortalise the union. The bride-to-be, a girl who is travelling with him, turns into his obsession – an obsession that leads him to make a pact by which, in exchange for betraying those in power, he will be allowed to enjoy the young girl’s innocent beauty. After losing his privileges on account of his treachery, his relationship with the printed image goes beyond eroticism and edges deeper and deeper into a society that coexists with the genocide of the Ona people, thus turning him into an accomplice and participant through his images.
