Written by Marie Rémond, the script (a finalist at the 2022 Prix du Scénario) centres on Élise. Nothing in her life is going well: stuck in a toxic romantic relationship, she finds herself thrown into the role of theatre director following the sudden death of the famous Groutchov, whom she was the assistant to. A strange symptom called panic disorder takes hold of her. Élise tries not to show it, but her relationship with the world is totally changed as a result. Could this be an occasion for her to start looking at life differently?

Produced by Pauline Seigland and Lionel Massol for Films Grand Huit, Les chèvres aussi s’évanouissent is co-produced by Division and by Belgium’s Panache Productions, as well as Chapka Films and Super 8 Production. Pre-bought by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film also benefits from the support of the advance on receipts from the CNC, of Pictanovo (Hauts-de-France region), of the Eurométropole de Strasbourg, of the Cofimage Sofica. Filming will last until 2 May in Strasbourg, Lille and Paris, with Virginie Saint-Martin (nominated for the Magritte award in her category in 2014 and 2015) as director of photography. The film’s music will be composed by the rock band Feu! Chatterton. French distribution will be handled by KMBO and international sales by MPM Premium.
