Co-scripted by the director and Vincent Poymiro, the film is set on an isolated plateau and centres on Johann (Rottiers), who has taken over his father’s farm and pours all his energy into it.

When he can, he brings his sister back to the farm for a few days, then takes her back to the institute where she is receiving treatment. He also sees Julie, a young woman with whom he has an intense love affair. But the farm’s economic stability is under threat and Johan becomes increasingly withdrawn.
