Reykjavik-Rotterdam shooting for Hollywood
Iceland’s entry for this year’s Academy Awards nominations in the Best Foreign Language Film category is Óskar Jónasson’s Reykjavik-Rotterdam [trailer], starring Baltasar Kormákur and Ingvar E. Sigurdsson.

The comedy-drama was awarded five Eddas by the Icelandic film academy last year, including Best Director and Best Screenplay, co-written by Jónasson and popular Icelandic novelist Arnaldur Indridason (Jar City [trailer]). Released by Sena in Iceland, the title was the seventh most popular film of 2008 with over 27,000 admissions.
