Cineuropa Award to be presented at Les Arcs
Awarded until now at the Estoril, Miami, Sarajevo and Brussels festivals, the Cineuropa Award will also be presented at the 2nd Les Arcs European Film Festival (December 11-18, 2010).
Put together by Frédéric Boyer (delegate general of the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight), the Les Arcs 2010 selection will be unveiled at the end of October. As a reminder, Thomas Vinterberg will head the competition jury and there will be a Focus on Danish cinema after the one on Hungary in 2009.
Like last year, the line-up also includes a Co-production Village (20 projects – see news) and the DIRE Days (United European Independent Distributors) from December 15-18. The latter will give exhibitors the chance to discover in avant-premiere 11 French and European films whose theatrical release is scheduled for the first semester of 2011, as well as distributors’ full line-ups for the coming year.
