. Described by the producer as an “outrageous black comedy about a woman part of a pyramid scheme”, the project will look at today’s consumer society and financial crisis. Follow, Follow Lead won a Special Mention at the Rome Film Festival’s New Cinema Network last October. Several European partners will come on board the €2m project according to Danielsson, such as the UK and Germany. Filming should start by the end of next summer.

Danielsson is also preparing a new feature film with Beyond acting duo Noomi Rapace and Ola Rapace. Bo & Anita will be a biopic about the passionate and destructive love affair between real life cabaret singer Anita Lindblom (a star in the 1960s) and boxer Bo Högberg. The top Swedish scriptwriter Peter Birro is attached to the project to be produced with Malte Forsell and Maria Dahlin.

Two other feature film projects are in the works with Swedish writer Zak O’Yeah who lived in India. The environmental thriller The Pollutant, set to start filming in February/March 2011 in India, will be directed by Prakash Belawadi. The second project based on O’Yeah’s novel Tandoori älgen (The Tandoori Moose) is a futuristic crime thriller about India and Asia colonising Northern Europe.

Danielsson is also hoping to produce another project with Pernilla August, whose directorial debut Beyond was released on over 75 Swedish screens last Friday by Nordisk Film. It will open next year in Norway, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and Benelux.
