The film’s screenplay tells the story of Chloé, a fragile and depressed young woman, who starts a psychotherapy clinic and falls in love with her shrink, Paul. A few months later, they move in together, but she discovers that her lover has kept part of his life secret from her...
As a reminder, François Ozon has been selected to compete at Cannes twice (in 2003 and 2013), at Berlin four times (in 2000, 2002, 2007 and 2009), and three times at Venice (in 2004, 2010 and 2016) and San Sebastián (in 2009, when he won a Special Prize, 2012, when he took home the Golden Shell with In the House [+see also:

L'Amant double will be produced by Eric and Nicolas Altmayer for Mandarin Production, making it the sixth production in a row, on which they have worked with Ozon. Included among the films partners is a co-production agreement with Belgian outfit Scope Pictures.
