LUX Prize Launches the LUX Film Days

23/10/2012 - The three finalist films will be screened in the 27 Member States

LUX Prize Launches the LUX Film Days

This autumn, the 27 countries of the European Union will share the same images, words and stories on the big screen. The European Parliament’s Prix LUX is organising the LUX Film Days. For its 6th edition, the LUX Prize breaks the Parliament’s borders for the very first time, to involve every single country and, even better, every single citizen of the European Union. The LUX Film Days are the screenings of the three finalist films in many of the Union's countries. The aim of the initiative is “the sharing of the cultural diversity of European cinema with the largest number of Europeans possible, and to debate in situ and online the topics depicted by the films”.

The initiative seeks to support both public debate on the EU and its policies and the circulation of European productios.
