Written by the director with Jérémie Galan, Vincent Crouzet and Patrick Gimenez, the screenplay tells of a patrol getting caught in an ambush on one of its assignments. Emerging alone from the battle, Denis walks on a double-trigger landmine. If he lifts his foot, he dies. Stuck in the middle on the desert, he implodes inside and has to resist.

Produced by Fabio Conversi for the Parisian company Babe FilmsTrapped is coproduced by Chelifilms, Viktor and Sons, My Major Company and the Italian company, Myra Film. Pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the film also received funding from Sofica Manon. Filming took place from January 14th to February 7th. Bellissima Films will take care of distribution in French cinemas while international sales should be handled by Other Angle Pictures.

Also worth mentioning, two Babe Films coproductions with Italy are also in post-production: La grande bellezza (article) by Paolo Sorrentino (also coproduced on the French side by Pathé and France 2 Cinéma) and Storia mitologica della mia familia by Danielle Luchetti (with Kim Rossi Stuart and German actress Martina Gedeck).
