Written by the director with Maud Ameline (nominated for the César in 2013 for Best Screenplay for Camille rewinds), the screenplay tells the story of several women who get together to create another one: a doll which will represent them in the 21st century. Parallel destinies will meet and cross with Lili, a woman who is too beautiful for a small provincial town and decides to make good use of her looks, Sam, the mother of a large family who wants to regain control of her life and becomes a tester for cosmetic products, and Louise who struggles in a professional world composed only of men, and puts female consumers at the heart of the thinking process.

Produced by Edouard Weil and Alice Girard for Rectangle Productions, French Dolls< is notably coproduced by Wild Bunch (which will handle the French distribution and international sales) and Studio 37. The filming, which will take place in the Ile-de-France region, will end on September 10th.
