film profile] in Hungarian theatres in 2009, Dénes Orosz seems to be on the point of achieving a repeat performance with the romantic comedy Coming Out, which has made an excellent start. Launched in 57 theatres by Hungaricom on Thursday, December 5, the film has taken second place in the weekly box-office with 23,522 admissions at the end of its first five days of screening. In a market crushed by American blockbusters in which Hungarian feature films still only arrive in dribs and drabs, as production has not yet attained its cruising speed, Coming Out will certainly chalk up the best result in 2013 for a national film, far ahead of titles such as The Notebook [+see also:

Openly defending the rights of homosexuals in a country where they are rejected, he prepares for his marriage to his partner with whom he has lived for the past five years. But he has an accident and begins to feel new emotions about women which seriously complicate the situation…
