Roll up the red carpet
Moritz De Hadeln has abolished the long red carpet along which stars and lesser figures made their way to gala screenings at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice Lido. Instead, talent will be elegantly accompanied to the door of the Palazzo in elegant black limos, courtesy of one of the Venice Film Festival’s sponsors. The red carpet was established ten years ago by the then artistic director of the Mostra, Gillo Pontecorvo, who wanted to underline the return of international stars to Venice.
