Based on the actor-turned-director’s original script, In Embryo focuses on Sean, a second-generation drug dealer trapped in a world of sleazebags and easy women, until he meets Lilly, a mysterious beauty and his soul mate. Yet what was supposed to be a new beginning for them turns out to be a fatal journey into a maelstrom of fear, trauma and violence.

Oscar-winning cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle is attached to the project to be produced by Germany’s Jörg Schulze and Frank Evers (Cine Plus Filmproduktion) with Caroline Daube (Royal Pony Film), in co-production with Denmark’s Zentropa Entertainment. Bavaria is starting to discuss the project at the European Film Market.
