Euromed Audiovisual III call for proposals launched
23/02/2010 - The Euromed Audiovisual III call for proposals, which has an overall budget of €5m, has just been launched. Run by the European Commission as part of the EU’s external cooperation activities, this call aims to develop and strengthen the film and audiovisual sectors in southern Mediterranean countries, to foster the complementarity and integration of the film and audiovisual industries in the region, and to promote the free circulation of cinematic goods and services.
The call for proposals covers the following three areas: professional training; strengthening distribution capacity and supporting the emergence of new distribution models and distribution media; and developing Euro-Mediterranean audiences.
Eligible to submit projects in one of these three areas are consortiums of at least three partners (non-governmental organisations, public sector operators, regional authorities, audiovisual sector organisations/societies, intergovernmental organisations), including at least two from an ENPI-South country (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syria, Tunisia). The initiatives must be implemented in at least three of the ENPI-South countries/territories.
The grants allocated are between €400,000-€1m and cannot exceed 80% of the project’s total budget. The duration of submitted projects should be between 30-36 months.
Deadline for submissions: June 1, 2010
