Pipo on the big screen

- Thanks to Euro 430,000 from public funds, shooting on the film about the Dutch clown will now go ahead, produced by Endemol

The Dutch producer Endemol has announced the completion of the financing for the shooting on the film Pipo en de P-p-parelridders estimated to be a total of Euro 3.5m, thanks to a contribution of Euro 430,000 received from the Dutch Cinema Fund . The shooting on the film directed by Martin Lagestee (who also directed Angie and The Red Swann) is now due to start in the South of Spain on October 21. The part of Pipo the clown will be played by Joep Dorren, the famous Dutch and Flemish star who worked on TV up until 1958. The screenplay has been written by Peter Römer and Wim Meuldijk, the creators of the character.
