2 baby tigers looking for love

by

After The Bear, it’s the turn of the tigers. The French filmmaker Jean-Jacques Annaud will be starting shooting in Cambodia on his new feature filmTwo Brothers in October. The story tells the adventure of 2 small orphaned tigers in the jungle during the 1920’s. The main parts will be played by about 20 small tigers which come from a French circus, but there’ll also be the actor Christian Clavier (The Visitors) who plays the part of the French Ambassador in Phnom Penh. The film should take about 6 months to make and it will be one of the most important foreign cinema projects which has ever taken place in Cambodia. Some of the scenes will take place at the Banteay Temple, but the main locations for the action will be the colonial buildings in the centre of Phnom Penh. Filming abroad has become something of a specialisation for the famous French director and producer Jean-Jacques Annaud (Quest for Fire, The Name of the Rose, 7 Years in Tibet), he’s already filmed in places like Vietnam, Argentina, Chile and India.
