Film Centre shares €400,000 between six minority co-productions


Film Center Serbia (FCS) has announced the results of its competition for financing minority co-productions.

Igor Mirkovic’s Night Ships, a co-production between Croatia’s Studio Film Zagreb and Serbia’s Delirium, has received €80,000. The same amount will go to Vladimir Blazevski’s Punk’s Not Dead (Macedonia’s Pank Film and Serbia’s Vitagraf) and Diana Gro’s Vespa (Hungary’s Tivoli Productions and Serbia’s Vision Team).

Omnibus The Skopje (Macedonia’s Novo Makedonsko Video and Serbia’s Living Pictures) by Vardan Tozija, Sasa Stanisic, Ognen Dimitrovski, Jane Altipamarkov, Srdja Janikijevic, Darijan Pejovski, Djordje Stavreski and Borjan Trifunovski gets €50,357, as does the Sperl Production (Germany)/Zillion Film (Serbia) title Brothers by Michaela Kezele.

The Scab by Srdjan Vuletic, a co-production between Bosnia (Refresh) and Serbia (Yodi), will receive €60,427.

The FCS has also allotted funding for national productions. Srdan Golubovic’s Circles (Bas Celik) will receive €346,445; Slobodan Skerlic’s So Hot Was the Cannon (Drina Film) €252,536; Goran Gajic’s Ustanicka Street (Film Kombajn) €239,421; Stefan Arsenijevic’s No One’s Child (Art & Popcorn) €237,367; and Lazar Ristovski’s Bajaco Blues (Zillion) €218,176.
