Adapted and scripted by Grangé and Schoendoerffer, the film centres on Sophie Malaterre, a 25-year-old fashion illustrator who lives in Montreal. It’s July 2010 and the young woman is dreading the approaching summer holidays. She has no plans, no friends and no boyfriend.

People tell her about the website SWITCH.com, through which you can swap apartments for a month. Miraculously, Sophie finds a duplex apartment in Paris, overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

Her first day is idyllic. The next morning, she wakes up to find a decapitated body in her apartment. The police arrive.

She has no way to prove she is not Bénédicte Serteaux, the owner of the apartment. She is caught in a trap... She hasn’t just changed apartments, she has changed identities and destinies.

Produced by Eric Névé for Carcharodon and by L&G, Switch has co-production support from Pathé, France 2 Cinéma, Jouror and Tercera Prod, pre-acquisitions from Canal + and Multithématiques, as well as backing from Sofica Banque Populaire Images 11 and Cofinova 7. French distribution and international sales will be handled by Pathé.
