TrustNordisk brings three European titles to Sundance

Copenhagen-based sales company TrustNordisk is representing three titles at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival (January 20-30): Scottish director David Mackenzie’s Perfect Sense, Norwegian comedy-drama Happy Happy by Anne Sewitsky and Susanne Bier’s In a Better World [+see also:

Selected in Sundance’s Premiere section, Perfect Sense stars Ewan McGregor and Eva Green as two people who start falling in love as the world begins to fall apart. Scripted by Denmark’s Kim Fupz Aakeson, the film is a co-production between Sigma Films in the UK and Zentropa Entertainment in Denmark, who previously collaborated on Andrea Arnold’s Red Road [+see also:

Sewitsky’s feature debut Happy Happy will have its international premiere in Sundance’s World Cinema Dramatic Competition. In the film, a sex-starved housewife (Agnes Kittelsen of Max Manus [+see also:

) struggles to keep her emotions in check when an attractive family moves in next door. Producer Synnøve Hørsdal (Maipo Film) said he has already received offers for remake rights following the announcement of the film’s selection at Sundance.

In a Better World, the Danish submission for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar nomination, will screen in Sundance’s Spotlight sidebar.
