Wenders' latest in Montana

- A welcome return for the German director with a story written by Sam Shepard. Together they'll explore the familiar terrain of Paris Texas

Wim Wenders has paired up again professionally with Sam Shepard. They first worked together on the international hit that was Paris Texas (winner of the Palme d’Or in Cannes in 1984). Now the German director and American writer are preparing a new film set in Montana about the decision of a fifty-year-old man to find the offspring he has never met.
“We will be spending a long time in America making this film,” said Donata Wenders, who accompanied her husband to the European Film Awards, “My job entails almost every aspect surrounding this film, including the setting, the set photos and even the backstage material.”
This will be a welcome return for Wenders to the familiar atmosphere of Paris Texas as well as being his first feature film for two years; his last one, The Million Dollar Hotel failed to impress the critics. It is also four years since he made Buena Vista Social Club.
