FESTIVALS Italy

A Spanish itinerary

by

- The Festival of Aquila focuses on film and asks European students to make a film in Spain. Here's how to take part

The 2003 edition of the Festival of Aquila will be a celebration of European cinema. The annual event is specialised in cultural activities and this year’s novelty is the creation of an Touring Observatory of European Cinema. The pilot project is a documentary about the major players of the contemporary Spanish film industry.
Starting in April, a group of Italian and European students, helped by a teacher-guide, will visit Spain where they will visit the sets and interview a number of young Iberian filmmakers. The resulting documentary will be presented at the Aquila Festival, scheduled to take place in July.
