New president at UGC International

05/02/2003 - Saïd Ben Saïd is the new managing director of UGC International. He succeeds Alexandre Drubigny who only joined the foreign sales arn of the exhibition-distribution and production company when he in turn replaced Patrick Binet in May 2002.
Saïd Ben Saïd is the former deputy director of UGC Images, managed byBrigitte Maccioni. He will also be in charge of the International and Video Departments.
Ben Saïd produced numerous films on behalf of UGC and will continue doing so : he is currently supervising the production of Francis Veber’s latest feature, Les Tourereaux starring Gérard Depardieu and Jean Reno. The film is scheduled for release in France in the autumn and UGC will handle all international sales. After UGC and Ben Saïd’s global distribution success with Amélie, they are preparing on another sure-fire hit for release in 2004 : Muraya, l’expérience secrète de Bluberry directed by Ajoz Films, which is currently in post-production.
