Edda nominations favor Undercurrent

Árni Ólafur Ásgeirsson’s thriller Undercurrent leads the way at the Icelandic Film and Television Awards (Edda Awards), with 12 nominations, followed by Dagur Kári’s English-language film The Good Heart [+see also:

and its 10 nods.

Both films are produced by Zik Zak Filmworks and are competing in the main categories for Best Film, Director and Screenwriter alongside first-time director Baldvin Z's Jitters, which also picked up 10 nominations.

Scottish actor Brian Cox is getting a chance to win an Edda for his performance inThe Good Heart.

Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir is nominated twice: for Best Actress in Undercurrent and Supporting Actress in King's Road [+see also:
