film profile], (Mostly Martha) by Sandra Nettelbeck, is the latest recent European film to have attracted the attention of Hollywood. According to “Variety”, a remake is on the cards, and it will be directed by Lawrence Kasdan (The Big Chill and French Kiss).
Bella Martha was released in the US last summer to both critical and popular acclaim. Martina Gedeck won a German Film Award for her role as Martha. The name of her successor has yet to be announced.
