Dublin welcomes Jordan’s “Good Thief”

Neil Jordan’s eagerly awaited new film, The Good Thief [+see also:

, will have its Irish premiere tonight in Dublin, followed by a fund raising party in aid of the Merchant’s Quay Ireland project for drug rehabilitation.
The Irish born director of Mona Lisa, Michael Collins and The End of the Affair will be joined by over 20 top Irish and international film and music talents, including actors Nick Nolte and Tcheky Karyo, Jordan’s long-time business partner and producer Stephen Woolley, filmmakers John Boorman and Julie Taymor (Frida and Titus), actors Stephen Rea, Patrick Bergin and Liam Cunningham, and singers Bono and Lisa Stansfield.
Inspired by French classic “Bob le flambeur”, The Good Thief is a UK/Irish/French co-production financed by Canadian group Alliance/Atlantis, who are also handling worldwide sales. The film opened the 2002 San Sebastian Film Festival and will be released in Ireland on 28 February by Eclipse Pictures (formerly Clarence Pictures) on behalf of Momentum Pictures.
