Hollywood conquers London

- Everything's ready for Sunday's ceremony, although American talent and titles dominate what should be a British event

The Bafta Awards - the UK equivalent of the Oscars - will be presented on the evening of Sunday, 23 February evening in London by a line-up of Hollywood stars since US films and talent dominate this year’s British Film nominations, a state of affairs that was widely criticised within the UK film industry.
The list of London-bound talent includes Michael Douglas, Tim Robbins, Jennifer Connelly, Angelina Jolie, Miranda Richardson, Kristin Scott-Thomas, Natasha McElhone, Ian McKellen, Jim Broadbent and director Richard Attenborough.
Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore, the joint winners of the Best Actress Golden Bear at the Berlinale for The Hours will also be at the Odeon Leicester Square alongside Salma Hayek (Frida), Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago) and Toni Collette (About a Boy [+see also:
