Cologne hosts 23rd International Film Congress
Cologne will once again play host to the International Film Congress (Internationaler Filmkongress), organised by Filmstiftung NRW from June 20-22 at the Medienforum NRW. This is the 23rd edition of the annual event to be held in the city since it founded as both a meeting place for industry professionals and a guide to the trends and concerns of the sector.
Besides film, the Medienforum NRW will also include three other sections focusing on the television, digital and publishing sectors.
At the three-day event, there will be workshops and conferences on various topics such as new trends in film marketing, audiovisual distribution in the digital world, VoD possibilities, multimedia narration, and crowdfunding, social networks and the Internet as promotional tools. All this will be approached from a German perspective but with the aim of understanding the global picture.
