2 new films for Vanessa Paradis
French actress and singer, Vanessa Paradis is scheduled to star in two new films this year.
Despite having made just five films since her 1989 debut in Jean-Claude Brisseau’s 1989Noce Blanche, which won her a best actress César, Paradis is considered a major star in France. She was nominated for a second César in 2000 for Patrice Leconte’s Une fille sur le pont and is also married to American actor Johnny Depp.
14 April will see her on the set of Benoît Poelvoorde’s ( C’est arrivé près de chez vous, le Boulet) latest film, Atomik Circus – le Retour de James Bataille, produced by Entropie Films. The film will be made over 14 weeks on location in Portugal, Germany and Great Britain. In October, she will star in Julie Lipinski’s directorial feature debut, le Plus beau jour de ma vie (produced by Vertigo Production) with André Dussollier as a partner. These are her first projects since Terry Gilliam’s still-born Don Quixote.
