54,022 for Love & Anarchy, Finnish Film Event on tour
For its 24th edition, which ended Sunday (Sept 25), Love & Anarchy-The Helsinki International Film Festival registered 54,022 admissions for its 10-day programme, adding 1,767 viewers for Finnish documentaries at MUBI online cinema. More than a fourth of the 400 festival screenings were sold out.

Finland’s major film event unspooled a total of 145 feature-length and 67 short films on 14 screens all over Helsinki – 18 of the festival features will later be in general release, including Norwegian director Morten Tyldum’s Headhunters [+see also:

For the first time organised as part of the festival, to be developed into an international market place - First One for Features – the annual Finnish Film Event launched 19 productions (six of them fresh from the lab), with introductions by the directors. The showcase will continue to local cinemas in Lahti and Jyväskylä.
”The Finnish Film Event is set up with the Finnish film industry - Finnish producers are already using Love & Anarchy as a promotional platform for their films – and we intend to further expand the local focus to attract international film professionals,” said festival producer Sara Norberg.
