Gray to deliver keynote at PFM

Marianne Gray, producer at Swedish company Yellow Bird, will deliver the keynote at the Film London Production Finance Market (PFM, October 19-20), part of the BFI London Film Festival (LFF).

Yellow Bird is best known for the critically and commercially successful feature adaptations of Stieg Larsson’s phenomenally popular Millennium trilogy.

Gray, who started her career in Los Angeles at Hollywood studios including Disney, Warner Bros. and Twentieth Century Fox, most recently produced Norwegian feature Headhunters [+see also:

, which will have its UK premiere next week at the LFF.

Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission said, “In part, the PFM is about challenging existing preconceptions around how to finance films and it invites producers and financiers to explore alternative routes and new avenues. Marianne, and indeed Yellow Bird, embodies that spirit of innovation. Their successful international financing partnerships, their co-productions and their achievements on a global scale should prove an inspiration to the PFM’s international delegates.”

This year the PFM has attracted over 60 producers presenting projects worth some €245m of production value. Companies attending include Paramount Pictures International, Focus Features, Endgame Entertainment, Ealing Metro International, Entertainment One Pinewood Films, Wild Bunch , Rai Cinema, Filmax, uMedia, Bavaria Film International and TF1 Droits Audiovisuels.
