Early November sees shooting of Ozpetek’s new film, Magnifica presenza

24/10/2011 - After the stint in Puglia with Loose Cannons [trailer], Ferzan Ozpetek (pictured) returns to his favourite set, Rome, for his new film Magnifica presenza.

Co-written by the director with Federica Pontremoli (Habemus Papam [trailer, film focus]) and produced by Fandango with Rai Cinema, Magnifica presenza is a choral comedy which tells the story of a rebirth in which the power of emotions transcends the deepest, rational and irrational fears, to find the answer in love, friendship and solidarity. "The film will deal with the biggest issues in life with the light tone of comedy", said Ozpetek.

The rich cast features Elio Germano, Margherita Buy, Vittoria Puccini, Beppe Fiorello, Andrea Bosca, Alessandro Roja, Paola Minaccioni, Cem Yilmaz, and the special participation of Anna Proclemer.

Magnifica presenza will be distributed by 01 Distribution in March 2012.
