Film world in show of support for former director of Gijón fest

18/01/2012 - Pedro Almodóvar, Álex de la Iglesia, Todd Solondz, Atom Egoyan, Bertrand Bonnello, Abel Ferrara and Carlos Reygadas are some of the more than 400 signatories of a manifesto “for the reinstatement of the director of the Gijón film festival” (see news).

This document follows the open letter published yesterday in which 31 Asturian professionals announce their disassociation from the event to the very local authorities which said that, with the dismissal of José Luis Cienfuegos and his team and the appointment of Nacho Carballo, they aimed to focus more on Asturian cinema.
