Slovenian Film Centre splits €4m between nine feature films

02/02/2012 - The Slovenian Film Centre has announced the results of its 2011 public competition for funding of film projects. These include projects by award-winning Nejc Gazvoda (A Trip) and Vinko Möderndorfer (Landscape No.2 [trailer]), Miha Hočevar's sequel to the local blockbuster Going Our Way, as well as the co-production Zoran, il mio nipote scemo by Italy's Matteo Oleotto.
A further €360,000 has been allotted to one medium-length and three short fiction films. Nine films in development, including projects by Janez Burger (Silent Sonata), Blaž Kutin (We’ve never been to Venice), Vlado Škafar (Dad [trailer, film focus]) and Igor Šterk (Ofsajd (9:06) [trailer]), will receive a total of €162,300. Finally, the producers of eight scripts in development will receive €50,000.
