Hazavanicius said in his acceptance speech, “The recognition of your peers is, I think, the most important, and I am really thrilled and very happy and touched. There are so many people I want to thank, from the BAFTA, my beloved producer, Thomas Langmann, the cast, Jean Dujardin, Bérénice Bejo, Harvey Weinstein, and my wife, Bérénice Bejo, I love you, and my friends, Thomas, Jean, and also cinematographer, Guillaume Schiffman, the composer, Ludovic Bource and everyone who worked on that movie. I know that I will have some bad days, because I am a director, but I will remember this day, today, as a good day, so thank you very much.”
