Four Swiss films supported abroad
by Emmanuel Cuénod
30/08/2012 - Since 2007, the Swiss Confederation has supported the distribution of Swiss films abroad. Distribution companies releasing Swiss works in their territories can thus receive up to 30,000 Swiss francs per film and per country.
During the last session for aid in the matter, Switzerland handed out about 81,000 francs to the foreign distributors of Markus Imboden's Der Verdingbub [trailer] (for its German release), Christoph Schaub's Nachtlärm [trailer, film focus] (for its Austrian release), Ruedi Gerber's Breath Made Visible (for France), and Alice Schmid's Die Kinder vom Napf (for its release in Denmark and in the Netherlands).
The next session to allocate aid for distribution is to be held next September.
