Four Polish films at the Leipzig Filmkunstmesse

- My Name Is Ki, Suicide Room, Secret, and Courage are to screen at the German art house film event.

Four Polish feature films are in the programme of the 12th edition of the Filmkunstmesse, an event to bring together 900 exhibitors, distributors, and professional specialised in art house films in Leipzig from September 17 to 21. These four titles are to be screened on September 19 with the support of the Polish Film Institute and all tackle different social issues.

, produced by Studio Filmowe Kadr and already awarded at many festivals (including Silver Lions in Gdynia in 2011 and the FIPRESCI Prize at Off Camera Plus, Krakow's independent film festival), secondary school student (Jakub Gierszal), after repeatedly being humiliated by his peers, finds shelter in an extremely dangerous virtual world that will lead him towards the abyss.

, produced by Dynamo Karuzela, tells the story of three characters, each with a complex identity and difficulties in adapting to reality: a drag queen (Tomasz Tyndyk), a Jewish woman (Agnieszka Podsiadlik), and a former fighter for the AK, a resistance movement in Poland under the German and Soviet occupations during the Second World War (Jan Wislocki).

Finally, Greg Zglinski's Courage, produced by Opus Film, follows two brothers who happen to witness an act of delinquency, and is a sort of study of opportunism and cowardice.
