film profile]), the list of the eight feature film projects selected by the Ile-de-France Region's Support Fund for Film and Audiovisual Technical Industries during its fourth 2012 session is looking promising.
Produced by Memento Films, Iranian director Asghar Farhadi's first French film (still without a definitive title - read more) to star Bérénice Bejo, Tahar Rahim, and Ali Mosaffa, is to receive €543,000.
Claire Denis's Les salauds (lit. "The bastards" - read more - Alcatraz Films - €466,000) with Vincent Lindon and Chiara Mastroianni has also been selected. In the screenplay written by the director with Jean-Paul Fargeau, Marco, a container ship captain, urgently returns to Paris. His sister Sandra is desperate...
