Keith Potter joins IFB as Project Manager

Keith Potter is to join the Irish Film Board’s (IFB) production and development team as Project Manager. The vastly experienced film hand’s last role was at the Film Agency for Wales (FWA), where he was Head of Production, overseeing more than 50 feature film projects. Recent productions which he oversaw from development through to production and exploitation include Kelly and Victor, Resistance, The Gospel of Us, We Went to War and Hunky Dory and include Isabel Coixet’s forthcoming Panda Eyes. From 2007-2010, Keith was the Head of Talent at the FWA. Films the agency invested in during this period include Submarine, Mugabe and the White African [+see also:

IFB CEO James Hickey said, “Keith is an important addition to the newly structured IFB Production and Development team. He brings with him excellent production experience and international contacts and has demonstrated a strong commitment to discovering and developing new film writing and directing talent throughout his career to date. Keith will be working closely with Rory Gilmartin who was appointed to the IFB in November 2012 and will manage IFB supported projects across all genres from the initial development stage right through production financing, to the market exploitation of these projects.”

Potter said, “Having already worked with the IFB on a number of co-productions with Wales, I’ve really enjoyed collaborating with Irish talent and am always impressed with Ireland’s film output year-on-year. I’m very much looking forward to joining the IFB production team enabling this trend to continue.”
