film profile] (presented last May on the Croisette in the Cannes Classics section), the highly original Hungarian filmmaker György Pálfi (photo) is preparing his 5th feature entitled The Voice. Piloted by Ferenc Pusztai (Producer on the Move 2007 in the European Film Promotion) for KMH Film, the project will be one of the major attractions at the Berlinale Co-Production Market (February10th to 12th, 2013).

The Voice's screenplay revolves around 30 year-old Tamas who has never met his father, who left for the United States in 1976, just before he was born. The father joined a top-secret project run by the American government and a team of researchers brought to the secret base of Los Alamos to decrypt a message come from space: the Voice. In 2009, the Pentagon authorized access to certain documents from this programme, christened Mavo. At the same time, Tamas learns he is to be a father. He puts together a small film crew and flies to the USA to learn more about the Mavo programme, but also about his father, who seems to have gone missing. An inquiry which goes from one discovery to the next…

film profile]), will begin shooting Afterlife (article) by Virág Zomborácz in February. It also has The Man Who Didn't Get Shot in pre-production, directed by Attila Gigor (widely noticed for The Investigator) which will be filmed in English in the autumn of 2013, in co-production with Fastnet Films (Ireland) and Film I Vast (Sweden), among others. The company's other projects include Balaton Submarine by Orsi Nagypál, Studio 69 by Dömötör Tamás and Till Death Do Us Apart by Attila Árpa.
