Simon Pummell discovers Brand New-U

British writer/director Simon Pummell (photo), winner of the BAFTA Interactive Award for Bodysong, has commenced a four-week shoot at London and Dublin locations for psychological thriller Brand New-U [+see also:

. The film is set in a world where there are multiple versions of the same person, known as ‘Identicals’ who hunt each other down and only the strongest will survive. The project traverses a range of media - feature film, urban projection, geo-specific augmented reality, and online media - to bring a distinctive fictional image-world to contemporary audiences. The cast includes Lachlan Nieboer (Suspension of Disbelief [+see also:

Janine Marmot (Hot Property Films, UK) produces the film, in co-production with Conor Barry and John Keville (SP Films, Ireland) and Reinier Selen (Rinkel Film, Netherlands) in association with Keith Griffiths (Illuminations Films, UK) and Finite Films (UK) with financing from the BFI Film Fund, the Irish Film Board, the Netherlands Film Fund and Finite Films.  The Match Factory will handle international sales.
