The latest offering from Elia Suleiman is a love story set against the backdrop of the Occupied Territories and the Gaza Strip. There is no room either in Ramallah or Jerusalem for two lovers: this is a land of war, conflict and ongoing bloodshed. Suleiman, a Palestinian, spent two years in New York and this is his third feature film about his troubled land after his feature debut, Cronaca di una sparizione and Cyber Palestine that was presented at Cannes 2001.
