Shorts in Taormina

The 49th edition of the Taormina International Film Festival (TFF), scheduled to run in the Sicilian town from 7-14 June 2003, will feature an International Short Film competition, with a purse of Euros10.330, from festival sponsor and partner BNL, going to the winner. A five-man jury of experts will select the best film and the deadline for preliminary submissions is 15 April 2003.
Both fiction and animated shorts are eligible, but no film can run over 15 minutes and must be in the original language (this includes the Italian entries), with the festival taking care of the subtitling costs and process. Sicilian filmmakers cannot take part and there is no entry fee.
All films submitted must have been shot post-1 May 2002 and preferably be premiering in Italy at this event.
