Media Select buy Das Werk

German production company Media Select has bought the financially-challenged German post-production company, Das Werk, beating rivals from Germany, Europe and the US, according to an article in today’s online Screendaily. Das Werk, who filed for bankruptcy on 6 November 2002, has offices in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich which will now be run by Media Select who are based in Hürth (mid-way between Bonn and Cologne) under the “Pictorion Das Werk” brand name.
Das Werk’s most recent work included the visual effects for Polanski’s Oscar-winning The Pianist [+see also:
