Playtime re-released
Playtime by Jacques Tati, a film that is part of European film history is being re-released this week onto two Athens screens under the auspices of the Greek Film Center. The film was a resounding flop when first released thirty-six years ago and resulted in the bankruptcy of its production company. This version contains an additional twenty minutes’ footage that was edited out of the original.
