- The Day for Belgian Cinema took place during the 28th edition of the FIFF. Many events were organized for the public and professionals
Committed to contribute to a better diffusion of francophone Belgian cinema in Belgium and abroad, the Namur Francophone Film Festival has organised for several years two specific events shedding light on upcoming Belgian films. The programmers and producers’ Brunch informally brings together programmers form international festivals and producers of Belgian films in filming, post-production or which were just finished and will soon begin their careers in festivals. The “Try Belgian Cinema” session offered a selection of trailers, extracts and teasers from Belgian films which will be released in the coming year. This session, mainly aimed at diffusers, including operators, for example enabled the discovery of images from La Marche by Nabil Ben Yadir, and unreleased images from Mirage d’amour avec fanfare [+see also:

During the gala evening, the audience and professionals were able to discover the avant-premiere of Baby Balloon [+see also:

Bici knows what she wants and is cheeky and slightly plump. An Amazon with followers, she is in love with the only one who doesn’t see her the way she would hope. So when the adorable and exasperating Anita arrives, she is prepared to do anything, even if it means wrecking the band... Bici is played with strength and natural by Ambre Grouwels, a lyrical singer, who holds her first role with this film. The movie, produced by Versus Production, will be distributed by O’Brother on November 20.
