Joaquim Leitão shooting Sei lá

In 1999, a novel named Sei Lá by first-time author Margarida Rebelo Pinto became an instant local best-seller. Its unexpected success, which came along with not so unexpected bad reviews, led producer Tino Navarro (MGN Filmes) to buy the rights of the novel. Fourteen years later, Sei Lá is finally being adapted for the big screen under the direction of Joaquim Leitão.

A sort of sex-and-the-city-type of plot centred on a female universe, Sei Lá tells the story of Madalena, a 30-year old journalist who is trying to move on with her life after a disastrous love affair with a basque terrorist. Writer Rebelo Pinto co-wrote the script along with producer Navarro.
