- The new films by Céline Sciamma, Katia Lewkowicz and Volker Schlöndorff were also selected by the region
Next May, Robert Guédiguian (photo) will begin the filming of his 19th feature, Une histoire de fou, which stands out amongst the nine feature film projects selected by the 3rd session 2013 of the Funds for the backing of the cinematographic and audiovisual technical industries of the Ile-de-France region.
Robert Guédiguian continues to make films at a metronomic rhythm since he is currently working on the post-production of Au fil d'Ariane (read the article). For Une histoire de fou, he co-wrote the screenplay with Gilles Taurand, who took part for the 3rd time in the scripting of one of the director’s films after The Last Mitterand (in competition in Berlin in 2005) and L'armée du crime [+see also:
film profile] (out of competition in Cannes in 2009). The story focuses on Aram, a young man from Marseilles of Armenian origin who blows up the car of the Turkish Ambassador in Paris. As for Aram, he breaks away from his comrades in Beirut until the day he decides to meet his victim to make him his spokesman...
