Adapted by Alain Choquart with the help of Laurence Coriat from two novels by Hubert Mingarelli (La dernière neige and Une rivière verte et silencieuse), the screenplay (which received a Special Mention at the Sopadin Prize 2010 for Best Screenwriter) delves into the heart of a French mission at the foot of the Drakensberg mountains. A community of black and white South-Africans lives here with the trauma of an unsolved massacre that no-one can forget. From the innocent to the guilty and from confrontations to forgiveness, they all fight to find the peace they so desperately need...

Produced by Bertrand Faivre for Le Bureau, Lady Grey is co-produced by the Belgian company Artémis Productions, Moonlighting of South Africa and the British company Spies Production Limited. Pre-purchased by Canal+, Orange Cinéma Séries and TV5, the film is notably backed by an advance on receipts from the CNC (for 450,000 euros), Eurimages, Sofica Cofinova and France Télévisions Distribution (which has bought the video rights). French distribution will be handled by Rezo and international sales by The Bureau Sales.

Via his British outfit, The Bureau, Bertrand Faivre is also handling the  post-production of A Little Chaos by Alan Rickman (with Kate Winslet and Matthias Schoenaerts in the cast) which he is producing with Potboilers. The Bureau also co-produced Le weekend [+see also:
